Get the Puck Outta Here!!!!

For those that are left, I'm sorry it's been seven (SEVEN) years since I've last blogged. Much has happened since the last time I talked about the CBJ. Firstly, that beautiful sweep of Tampa Bay in 2019. That was a thing of beauty.  Enough has been said about that, but wanted to point it out.  We currently are on our 4th coach since I last blogged. So much change over in the management and leadership of the CBJ. I think the cook in the kitchen, Don Wadell, has the right recipie to create a winner. Sad to say that Johnny was taken out of that, (Prayers to the Gauedreau family), but it seems to be a different, surprising approach I've rarely seen this level of aggression from the Blue Jackets in the years I've been watching the CBJ. I'm actually enjoying it. Coach Evason has really instilled a new attitude in the Blue Jackets. Given the results so far, I'm thinking we should enjoy the ride The issue I have currently, as many I've seen expressed, is the g...

So, we have five pre-season games in the books so far. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Campbell, who I'm more excited about, acquistion wise, is looking good. I haven't seen Saad yet (his first game was today), but I have high hopes that he is going to do well. That kid has some potential. Switching gears one of the prospects that stood out to me was Oleg Yevenko. He had a fight during the game on Tuesday evening, and he reminds me so much of Chara from the Bruins. Big, bruising, and ready to protect his teammates. I'm hoping that he finds his way back to the Blue Jackets. He is one player that I feel is ready for the big leagues. And, he moves well for a guy his size. Something to be said for that. Sonny Milano has impressed as well. He's had more game time, due to Saad's injury (puck to the face). This has given him some valuable ice time, and I think it's raised his stock. He seems to fit well with the team and has developed some chemistry with...

Over the past few days, book ending my OSU game I attended, I've been able to listen to a couple of podcasts. The first one I listened to was called Blue Jacket Racket. You can find that podcast here . It is on the air on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 5pm, although that is subject to change come the start of the regular season. The gentleman who runs that is Kevin J VanManen. You can find him on Twitter @k_vanmanen. His guests that day were the guys who run the twitter account @boones_goones. They were on to talk about the CBJ, and announce their 2014-15 World Tour. They are visiting various towns in Ohio during the Columbus Blue Jacket Season. They are bringing some giveaways to each stop on their World Tour. I enjoyed listening to Blue Jacket Racket. The passion that Kevin has is undeniable. But he is also honest. I'll definitely catch his podcast when I can. He will have the creator of the March of the Union Army Kevin Valentin on his pod cast this week on Friday at 5p...
